' The seaside town of L' Escala has a variety of landscapes and different residential areas. These range from modern developments facing the sea, the old town and the nearby medieval village of Sant Martí.
Not far and not to be missed are the Greek ruins Empurias over 2,000 years old. In 218 BC , the Roman army under the command of Cornelius Scipio , occupied the Greek people. During the period of Emperor Augustus the two cities were united under the name municipium Emporiae . The city was abandoned in the second half of the third century AD.
Sandy beaches , shallow waters and hidden coves are other assets of L' Escala. You can go snorkelling here, and explore the hidden treasures such as the Caves of Kim, 12 meters under water, or wreck ' Marmoler ' , at 42 meters. Anchovies are the most precious local product. In October, a festival dedicated to this delicacy is celebrated.

We've been coming here since 1972 and although some things have developed, the fun ,the water, the experience has not changed. This serves as a great destination 'hub' of traveling the Barcelona area - inland to Girona and beyond - Northern France - all in a day trip and still have a morning dive and get fresh bread and cheese in the local market. But what we have here is a unique view overlooking the Bay of Roses - a part of the Mediterranean Sea. The Beach House 3 bedroom 1.5 bath home is 80ft (24.5 meters) above the water on a cliff with an unbroken view, as the Romans had 1200 years ago.

It is a beach house - with WI-FI - with an unparalleled view of the Mediterranean and three bedrooms.

Area coverage - floor is tiled as with all homes in the area and has plenty of seating and a dining table outdoors in which you will more than likely spend most of your time.

Bedrooms - 3 - Sleeping for 6 with additional furniture for more .
Bathrooms - 1 full and 1 half , shower and bidet toilets .
Laundry - washer and dryer
Parking - enough for 2 with one being covered.
You will find the area to be quite active as Escala and Montgo are popular holiday destinations.
